Zoe Ann Elarton of Rome
ROME » Zoe Ann Elarton passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 at the Lutheran Home in Clinton. She was born on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, 1931. She was educated in Oklahoma City, Okla. and Norman, Okla. schools. On Feb. 18, 1947, she was united in marriage to Jerry Elarton. He died in 1977.
Her husband was a Federal Civil Service employee whose job took his family to France and Japan. They were privileged to travel to Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, and the Tokyo area. Zoe worked several different jobs and she enjoyed her time with Employee and Career Development at Griffiss Air Force Base, the Unity School of Christianity, Welcome Wagon, and the Texas Tourist Development.
She is survived by her four children, Sherri Kay and Mike Usborne of Sherrill, N.Y., Lee Ann and Terry Titus of Hoodsport, Wash., Gaye Lynn and Stephen Boiko of Rome, N.Y., and Jerry Lee and Debra Elarton Jr. of Belton, Mo.; a sister, Linda Goodman of Noble, Okla.; two brothers, Jack Stricklin of Texas and David Stricklin of Colorado; and several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Vera and Ossie Stricklin, and three brothers, Darrele, Larry and Ronnie.
Zoe’s family would like to express a special thank you to the staff on the Bryant Wing at the Lutheran Home.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
