“Gift Wrapped Luncheon” today
CANASTOTA » Oneida-Canastota Christian Women’s Club will hold a “Gift Wrapped Luncheon” on Thursday, Aug. 24 at 11:15 a.m. at the Rusty Rail, Route 5. The feature will be a Christopher Banks Fashion Show. Speaker will be Penny Keen of Watertown, with “Losing Control & Finding Peace.” Music will be provided by harpist Mary Krukonis. Tickets are $14. Ham and scalloped potatoes served Sept. 9
ONEIDA » St. John’s Episcopal Church will hold a ham and scalloped potato dinner on Sept. 9 from noon to 4 p.m. at the church, 341 Main St. The meal is take out only. Tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and $5 for children 12 and younger. Tickets for a queen size quilt raffle will be available for $1 each or six for $5. Proceeds will benefit the church’s Prayer Quilt Guild.
Rummage and bake sale Sept. 8-9
ONEIDA » New Hope Christian Community Church will hold a rummage and bake sale on Friday, Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a bag sale on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations can be brought to the church, 1904 West Road, beginning Aug. 28.
Tournament will benefit Medical Mission
ONEIDA » The 6th Annual Golf Tournament for the Nicaragua Medical Mission will take place Friday, Sept. 22 at Kanon Valley Country Club. Registration is at 11 a.m. with lunch at 11:30 a.m. followed by a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. The fee of $90 per person includes lunch, cart and green fees, and dinner. There will be prizes for Team Best Score, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin. All proceeds will provide medications for the next Medical Mission.
Vendors needed for tag sale
CHITTENANGO » St. Paul’s Church is looking for vendors, people with home based business or someone looking to sell those items they have no need for anymore. The church’s Annual Tag Sale is set for Saturday, Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Indoor spaces are available for $15 – the church will supply tables and chairs.
