KNOXBORO » Frederick J. Perry, 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, at the Crouse Community Center in Morrisvill­e, with his beloved wife and family by his side.

Fred was born in Canastota on May 20, 1940, a son of the late Charles and Mildred Billings Perry. Fred was a proud Army veteran having served from 1958-1961. He made his career working at Oneida Limited, retiring with 34 years of service. Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Most of all, Fred’s world evolved around his love for his wife, his children, grandchild­ren, and greatgrand­children.

Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, D. Cherie Perry, of Knoxboro; two sons, Gregory Perry (Kathleen Brouillett­e), of Oriskany Falls, and Gordon Perry (Sheree Hazelwood) of Hyde Park; a daughter, Dorine and John Clubb, of Moyock, N.C., and his sister, Doris, of Arizona. Fred also leaves his beloved grandchild­ren, Brett Perry, Bradley Perry, Justin Clubb, Tyler Clubb, John Clubb, Rebecca Clubb, Carrie Smith, Kayla Smith, Kelly Diehl, and eight great-grandsons.

Fred was predecease­d by his parents, Charles and Mildred, his brothers, Charles, Henry and Theodore, and his sisters, Mary Ellen, and Helen.

Fred’s family would like to thank the staff at the Crouse Community Center for the compassion­ate care given to Fred.

In keeping with Fred’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service or calling hours. There will be a “Celebratio­n of Fred’s Life” to be held on Sunday, Sept. 17 from 1-5 p.m., at the Kelley Phillips American Legion Post 569 in Oriskany Falls.
