RINGGOLD, GA. » Alice E. House, 75, of Ringgold, Ga., formerly of North Main Street, Oneida, passed away on Saturday evening, Sept. 2, 2017, in the comfort of her daughter’s home.

Born in Hamilton on Sept. 7, 1941, she was the daughter of Frederick W. and Sophia Howland Bachmann Sr. A lifelong resident of Oneida until 2016, when she relocated to live with her daughter, Alice was educated in Oneida High School. She married George P. House in Redeemer Lutheran Church on Dec. 19, 1959. Mr. House died on Aug. 3, 2009.

Prior to her retirement, Alice was employed as a school crossing guard, a position which she loved, and was later employed by the Oneida Indian Nation at the Turning Stone as a hostess. Alice was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed music, especially playing the organ and knitting.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16 from Grace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James Burch, officiatin­g. Friends may call at the church on Friday, Sept. 15 from 5-7 p.m. In- terment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery.
