Morrisvill­e State College recently announced those students who were named to the President’s List for the Spring 2017 semester. To be named to the President’s List, a student must achieve a perfect 4.0 average for the semester and complete 12 credit hours.

Ryan Quinn of Canastota, N.Y., graduated from Paul Smith’s College in May 2017. Quinn earned a bachelor of profession­al studies in culinary arts and service management from Paul Smith’s, which is located in the Adirondack Park in upstate New York.

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that more than 5,290 undergradu­ates have qualified for the Spring 2017 Dean’s List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island’s cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, many other states and countries.

Mary Elizabeth Sheridan of Oneida, N.Y., was named to the Dean’s List.

To be included on the Dean’s List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semes- ter and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulati­on of 12 or more credits for letter grades earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Jason Webb, a Verona, N.Y., native majoring in Biochemist­ry at Ithaca College, is conducting research this summer as part of the School of Humanities and Sciences’ Summer Scholars Program. Webb’s research topic is “Signaling by the C. Elegans FGF Receptor Tyrosine Kinase”.
