United Way supports local organizations

The United Way of Greater Oneida, Inc. continues to push hard to raise the necessary funds to help support the programming of the 15 agencies listed in our brochure. We have set our goal at $135,000 for the 2017-2018 Campaign.

We have taken the risk of raising our goal $5,000 and trust that this community will rise to the challenge. I cannot stress enough that everything raised in this community stays local. We are independent of any other United Way and a board of local residents decides who will receive the funding that we raise.

I would like to take this op- portunity to inform you of two fundraising activities we have scheduled in the very near future. On Tuesday, Sept. 19 Wendy’s Restaurant will donate 10 percent of its sales from 5-8 p.m. to the United Way of Greater Oneida. Please consider visiting Wendy’s for your dinner that night.

Also, from Sunday, Sept.17 through Saturday, Sept. 23, Community Car Wash will donate a percentage of its sales to the United Way of Greater Oneida. Please think about having your car washed that week on the Corner of 365A and Wilson Street in Oneida.
