Jazz artists converge for weekend of music
The 16th annual Jazz-N-Caz will serve up powerful jazz performances from Sept. 1416at three venues.
CAZENOVIA, N.Y. » The 16th annual Jazz-N-Cazwill serve up powerful jazz performances in Cazenovia from Sept. 14-16 in three venues.
DaveHanlon’s Funky Jazz Bandwill kick off the line-up on Thursday evening with live music on the Brae Loch Inn lawn. On Friday night in the theatre, Soda Ash Six will lead off the evening, followed by Harry Allen with Nancy Kelly and her trio, featuring Dino Losito, Tom Brigandi and Jimmy Johns. Ronnie Leigh, who has shared jazz with the Central New York community for more than four decades, will be honored during this performance. The Seven Stone Steps at the Lincklaen House will host Jazz After Hours with Tom Witkowski, Jason Jeffers, and Adam Fisher.
Peter Cincotti will cap off theweekend’s entertainment in the theatre on Saturday. Included will be the Jimmy Van Heusen Jazz Break, followed by Evan Christopher’s Clarinet Road featuring Jon-Erik Kellso with Mark Shane, Pat O’Leary, and James Chirillo. A latenight Jazz After Hours gathering at the Seven Stone Steps will conclude the festivities, againwith TomWitkowski, Jason Jeffers, and Adam Fisher.
