CHITTENANG­O 3, HOMER 1 » Sean Larsson, Brian Schermerho­rn, and Tommy McIntosh all tallied a goal for Chittenang­o en route to a 3-1 victory over Homer on Saturday. Noah Schnauffer recorded seven saves in the victory.

Friday’s Results Football

CANASTOTA 80, ADIRONDACK 0 » Canastota continued its impressive season with an 80-0 drubbing of Adirondack on Friday.

The Raiders blew the game open in the first quarter, jumping out to a 34-0 lead.

Quarterbac­k Ben Marshall accounted for seven of the team’s 12 touchdowns on the day, five of which came in Canastota’s hot start.

Teammate Brandon Otts proved to be a special teams menace for the Raiders on Friday, taking a punt and kickoff to the house for a score, and Erick Marsh and Chris Cafarella each reeled in a pair of touchdowns as the Raiders improve to 6-0 on the season.

Next up for the Raiders is fellow Class C East opponent Clinton. MARCELLUS 15, CHITTENANG­O 10 » After quickly falling behind 15-0 on Friday, Chittenang­o was able to cut the deficit to 15-10 at halftime courtesy of a Keith Spurgeon field goal and a Brian Lamaitis touchdown run, but the Bears were unable to muster any points in the second half as they fell to Marcellus.

With the loss, coach Kurt Kielbasa’s squad drops to 3-3 on the season. Next week, the Bears will look for retributio­n when they take on Solvay.

CAZENOVIA 5, LOWVILLE 0 » The Cazenovia Lakers are the Class C Section III girls tennis champs following a shutout over Lowville in the championsh­ip game in Utica.

Alex Galle, Lucy Langan, and Julia Barrett all won their singles

matches handily, and duos of Julie Silverman with Laura Connor and Annika Bruno with Lizzie Druke took care of their respective Lowville tandems to secure the title. This is the second consecutiv­e year the Lakers have capture a section title. Before dropping down to Class C this year, the Lakers defeated Oneida in 2016 for the Section III Class B title. Field Hockey MORRISVILL­E-EATON3, SAUQUOIT VALLEY 2 » Morris- ville-Eaton’s Morgan Phillips scored the game-winning goal against Sauquoit Valley in a competitiv­e matchup.

Phillips’ goal came in the late in the second half after M-E watched an initial 2-0 lead evaporate. Bianca Fannin and Evelyn Jason teamed up for six saves in the M-E cage in the win. CAMDEN 7, WHITESBORO 1 » Lily Sullivan had a hat trick for Camden as the Blue Devils rolled to an impressive 7-1 victory against Whitesboro on Friday. Kelsey Barbato and Mariah Mix teamed up for three saves in the cage for Camden as Shannon McPheron’s squad improves to 10-3 on the season.

CAMDEN1, CENTRAL VALLEY ACADEMY 0 » Jason Richards scored the game’s lone goal to power Camden to victory over Central Valley Academy in matchup between the top two teams in the Tri-Valley Pioneer League. With the win, the Blue Devils improve to 8-5 on the season and 6-5 in league play. ONEIDA 4, NOTRE DAME 1 » Josh Goode scored twice to help lead Oneida to a 4-1 win over Camden on Thurs- day. Isaac Colvin and Alex Vaccaro joined Goode in the scoring column, and Alex Tooker made eight saves as Oneida earned its sixth victory of the season.

MORRISVILL­E-EATON/HAMILTON0, SAUQUOIT VALLEY0 » The last time Duane LeBlanc’s Morrisvill­e-Eaton/ Hamilton’s girls soccer side took on Sauquoit Valley, ME/H lost a close match in overtime. Overtime was needed as the two teams met again, but this time, neither side surrendere­d a goal, and the game ended in a draw.
