Expect a miraculous intervention through God’s love

- Catherine GalassoVigorito Columnist

Sitting by her daughter’s hospital bed, an exhausted mother finally dozed off to sleep. Her nine monthold baby girl had a 104 fever and was pale and still. A virus had ravaged the girl’s tiny body. Frightened and confused, the family prayed and prayed for the baby’s recovery.

Just past midnight, the mother was awaked by a weak cry. She looked toward the baby girl’s crib. And a sense of calm came over the mother, as she saw an elderly, smiling woman gently rocking the peaceful baby in her arms. “It’s a hospital volunteer,” the mother thought to herself. Then, she slowly drifted back to sleep.

The next morning, feeling refreshed, the mother put her hand on the baby’s forehead. She found it to be cool. A nurse took the baby’s temperature and confirmed that the fever had broken!

So thankful, the mother asked the nurse, “What was the name of the elderly volunteer who was here around midnight?” Quite matter-offactly, the nurse replied, “We don’t have any volunteers at that time of night.”

It was then the mother knewthat God sent an angel to comfort and bring His healing miracle to the child.

Do you need a miracle? Are you searching for answers? Or, perhaps, there are issues in your life that are yet to be resolved.

Be at peace, for God has everything in control. Turn all circumstances over to Him. The answer to what you face may not come exactly as you have planned. And maybe not the moment you ask. Yet, in God’s own way and in God’s own time, He will give you your mir- acle.

A friend of mine who has recently overcome some tremendous difficulties had this suggestion, “When uncertainties bombard you, recall that God is your refuge; He’s all-powerful and stronger than anything you could face. Do not be dissuaded. Expect a miraculous intervention.”

Remember, God is holding you in the palm of His hand.

•I read in Matthew 9:2729, how Jesus healed two blind men, and in a second, their lives were forever changed. Right now, God is pouring out blessings on your life. Today is your new beginning.

•In Luke 5:3-10, Jesus asked Simon to push their boat out a little into the water and let down his nets. Soon, the nets were so full of fish, they began to tear. Stay the course. God is ready to give you abundantly more than you can ask or think.

•It says in Matthew 5-7, that Jesus came down the hillside, and a leper approached Him pleading, “If You want to, You can heal me.” Jesus touched the man, and, he was made well. God has not brought you this far to leave you now. A miracle is coming your way. God is going to help you, heal you, and give you the desires of your heart.

Therefore, pray and put your hope in God. Stand tall, look up, and have the courage to face the future with determination and fortitude. If you tried to balance a book on your head and walked with your head tilted down, what would happen? The book would fall to the floor. Now, place that same book on your head and keep putting one foot in front of the other, with your head held high, and looking straight ahead. You can balance that book perfectly.
