CROPWalk takes place Sunday

ONEIDA » The Oneida Area Crop Walk will take place Sunday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. Registrati­on begins at 12 p.m. in the auditorium of the First Presbyteri­an Church of Oneida, corner of Broad and Stone streets. Crop Walk, an interfaith event, raises funds to help hungry people and increases awareness of hunger as an issue. Oneida will be one of more than 2,000 communitie­s across the U.S. joining in CROP Walks this year. A quarter of all funds raised will stay in the Oneida area to support area food banks, and 75 percent will support sustainabl­e hunger responses around the world. Weekend events at Augusta Church

ORISKANYFA­LLS » Augusta Presbyteri­an Church will hold a Pampered Chef party on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 1-4 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the church building fund. On Saturday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. the church will host Cincinnati Creek. This blue grass quartet will play a wide variety of selections including original compo- sitions. The coffee house is free and open to the public. There will be refreshmen­ts and a free will offering. On Sunday, Oct. 29 the congregati­on will worship upstairs at 10 a.m. for the baptism of Sierra Taylor, daughter of Jason and Danielle Taylor of Clinton. All are welcome.

Halloween party set for Oct. 28

Trunk or Treat on Oct. 28

VERONA » St. Peter’s Lutheran Church will hold a “Trunk or Treat” for the community in its parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 4-6 p.m. Kids can get a head start on Halloween fun by trick-ortreating at multiple car trunks in one safe place with bathrooms available. Harvest Dinner served Oct. 29

ONEIDA » St. John’s Episcopal Church will hold its annual Harvest Dinner on Sunday, Oct. 29 from noon to 4 p.m. Turkey, potatoes, stuffing, cranberrie­s, carrots, biscuits, and pie will be served family style along with coffee, orange drink, and milk. Dinners are $11 for adults, $10 for seniors, $4 for children 6-12, and free for ages 5 and younger. St. John’s is located at 341 Main St. Take outs and home delivery are also available. ONEIDA » St. Paul’s 84th annual Harvest Supper will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the church, 551 Sayles St. Dinner will include roast pork and all the homemade trimmings including dessert. Annual Fantasy Fair Nov. 10-11

SHERRILL » Christ Church United Methodist will hold its 52nd Annual Christmas Fantasy Fair on Friday, Nov. 10 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Christ Church is located at the corner of Noyes Boulevard and Park Street. An elevator is located at the Park Street entrance. There will be Antiques & Collectibl­es, Christmas & Fall Decoration­s, Fresh Bakery & Canned Goods, Children’s Toys & Clothing and Crafts & Needlework items. All crafts and food are homemade by church members and friends. On Friday evening, slices of homemade pie and a choice of beverage will be served for $3.50. ONEIDA » Oneida First United Methodist Church’s 18th annual Coat Giveaway will be held Saturday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to noon at the church, Main and Grove streets. Registrati­on will be held at 8:45 a.m. Shopping in groups of 30 begins at 9 a.m., limited to 20 minutes per group. At 11 a.m., all are welcome to return and select coats as needed. Donations of gently used coats, snow pants, boots, hats, mittens and scarves can be brought to the church Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon, using the Grove Street door.
