Schiebel a devoted public servant

It is my pleasure to write this letter of support for Keith Schiebel, Republican candidate for re-election as an Oneida County Legislator.

I have known Keith as a friend, a fellow educator in the VVS School District and as a valued colleague in the political arena in Oneida County politics in my role as a Vernon Town Councilman and his as a very successful, hardworking, effective and driven Oneida County Legislator. What drives Keith is the goal of being a representative of the people’s voices, concerns and also in striving to make decisions to improve the overall environment of the citizens he represents.

When working with Keith in the educational sector, I was always amazed at the incredible amount of time and hours he devoted to his FFA students, their programs, their missions in state and national organizations and activities, their highly successful Northeastern and Canadian Maple Syrup Conventions, Symposiums and Seminars held at VVS each and every year. He initiated, organized and conducted what has become the highly respected and attended VVS Community Day each October. This event brings together many varied and assorted organizations in an effort to inform and expose our citizens to many activities, happening, organizations and helpful events occurring in our local communities.

Over the years, Keith and his staff have taken the VVS FFA program to incredible award winning heights throughout NYS and the Northeastern Region. Through his efforts, the VVS FFA program has received many important grants and awards to further advance his program. He takes a variety of students from all academic levels and molds them into a hardworking, dedicated and successful unit. His students consistently win regional and national offices and awards. His FFA efforts have produced rankings as one of the top rated high school programs NYS.

I have been involved in Town politics for more than 30 years and have never seen the level of work, effort and commitment Keith puts into being an extremely effective and successful County Legislator. There are evenings when he attends towns of Vernon, Verona and Oneida Castle Village meetings to brief his constituents on crucial Oneida County information. He brings to the job as legislator the same commitment and passion that has made him a very successful teacher.

Keith is a tireless campaigner. What I admire about him is how his campaign efforts are honest, not intimidating, ethical, moral, honorable and upright. He brings an honesty and sincerity to the table that is rare in these days of divisive politics.

I hold Keith in the highest regard as a friend, an educator and as a political colleague of mine. As a resident of Sherrill and Town of Vernon Councilman, I strongly urge that you vote for Keith Schiebel as Oneida County Legislator. You will be voting for a known, highly respected, quality individual.
