Jones only choice for county clerk

Ann Jones is the only candidate to seriously consider for County Clerk in Madison County.

Ann Jones has a long list of experience in community service and a master’s degree in public administration, and has demonstrated that she cares about her community. We need a County Clerk who actually cares about its residents.

My neighborhood has not been satisfied with Michael Keville as a Mayor. We fought the continual expansion of the Sun Chevrolet parking lot; and our previous Republican mayor, and his board members, supported us. When the issue came up again, 80 percent of the residents were opposed to any more parking lot expansion, according to the community petition, but this didn’t matter to Keville when he decided against the community and for Sun Chevrolet.

Free market forces could have taken care of the problem, but instead, Keville chose the “Big Government” approach. A year later, Keville receives his biggest individual campaign donation from Todd Caputo, of Sun Chevy. Coincidence, I don’t think so? It was public record that Caputo was a frequent campaign donor and Keville chose to help a man who doesn’t even live in this county, instead of the villagers in his own town. With this kind of record, who do you think he will support when, say, a farmer is threatened with the proposal to have some big company pipe line put through his corn field? We don’t want a county clerk whose primary concern is potential campaign donors! We can do better than that. Vote for Ann Jones.
