CLEAR PATH
CHITTENANGO » The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering Boots to Business|Reboot, a free entrepreneurship training program for starting or growing a veteran-owned business, on Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Clear Path for Veterans.
Veterans of all eras, service members (including National Guard and Reserves) and their spouses are eligible to enroll.
Boots to Business|Reboot is offered as part of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program, designed for veterans and their dependents who have already made the transition back to civilian life.
This two-step training program provides participants an overview of business ownership as a career vocation, an outline and knowledge on the components of a business plan, a practical exercise in opportunity recognition, and an introduction to available public and private sector resources — including SBA resources available to help access start-up capital and additional technical assistance. Step one is the Introduction to Entrepreneurship course which is instructed by SBA and its partners who are skilled business advisors. Step two is one of the online followon courses instructed by a consortium of professors and business advisors from the SBA Network.
For more information, contact Michael Stout of the SBA at michael.stout@ sba.gov or (315) 471-9393 ext. 226.
