ONEIDA, N.Y. » Oneida Strong is hosting a Drug Epidemic forum and dinner on Nov. 4 from 4-8 p.m. at the Kallet Civic Center on Main Street in Oneida. The purpose of this event will be to raise awareness and provide education related to the drug epidemic.
Several community groups will participate, including BRiDGES Madison County Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, Central Region Addictions Resource Center, Rescue Mission of Utica - Addictions Crisis Center, and Liberty Resources.
The evening will begin with introductions of each community organization from 4-5 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner catered by Napoleons Cafe from 5-6 p.m. There will be a community Q& A panel from 6-7 p.m., with closing remarks and a parent tour of a mock bedroom from 7-8 p.m.
Boxes will be available around the event for the anonymous submission of questions to be answered by the panel.
Tickets will be available for a suggested donation of $10 per person. Advance sale tickets may be purchased by contacting Oneida Strong. Basket raffles and a 50/50 cash drawing will be held. All proceeds benefit Oneida Strong, a not-for-profit corporation, and will be used toward future community events and activities.
