Milman-Barris has long history of public service

-

I would like to encourage everyone in the City of Oneida Wards 1-2-3 to vote for my wife, Margaret MilmanBarris, for Madison County Supervisor.

In the time she has served in this position so far, she has worked tirelessly on the wide variety of work the county performs for residents. I have seen her working late into the night reading through several-inch thick binders of documents for various committees in order to effectively contribute to the discussions where the real work of the supervisors is often done. She has reached out to the leaders of various departments on her own initiative to personally tour county facilities including the landfill and the county jail, and also met with community agencies such as the PROS Clinic to learn about the services that they offer to residents of the city and county.

Margaret has worked diligently for quite some time to prepare herself for this position, and her service on the committee is merely the latest component of her work to assist the local community. She has served in governmental advisory positions such as the City of Oneida Climate Action Plan Committee as well as local political party organizations, and has also shown herself to be dedicated to the needs of the community in her service on the board of the Celebration Children’s Center in Canastota, including a term as president. She has accomplished all this while excelling in her job as a geologist for a local environmental engineering company and as the mother of three children in elementary and middle school here in Oneida.

Margaret is passionate about making sure the county government is completely dedicated to addressing the needs of all residents, especially children, working mothers, and all those suffering from economic struggles, the drug epidemic, and other problems aff licting our community. When she puts her mind to accomplishing something, she diligently prepares and makes sure she is fully informed of all aspects of the situation, in order to determine the best path forward, and to be able to work effectively with everyone involved. She has the technical, problem-solving, and communication skills that would be a great asset to us all in the Supervisor position. I have seen firsthand the long hours she has put in to make sure all of her commitments are a success. You can be sure she will continue to do so for the people of Oneida if elected to a full term. Please vote for Margaret Milman-Barris for County Supervisor for Wards 1-2-3.
