Informatio­nal meeting set for Nov. 9

CANASTOTA » The Town of Lenox will hold a public informatio­nal meeting/open house on Thursday, Nov. 9 from 5-7 p.m. at the Town of Lenox offices, 205 S. Peterboro St. in the lower level (court room). The meeting is intended to provide public input on the preliminar­y design of a 2.25 mile Lenox Rail Trail beginning at South Peterboro Street at the skate park that will connect to North Court Street at the Madison County offices in the Village of Wampsville. The trail will follow the former railroad property that is now owned by the town. Interested parties are encouraged to attend.

Breakfast will benefit baseball team

SHERRILL » Sherrill American Legion Post 230 Baseball will hold a Pancake Breakfast of Champions on Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Legion, 168 E. Seneca St. The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit cocktail and beverage for a $7 donation. Proceeds will benefit the Post 230 Baseball Team.

Lions Club breakfast this Sunday

ONEIDA » The Oneida-Sher- rill Lions Club’s annual pancake breakfast returns on Sunday, Nov. 5, offering a meal cooked and served by the Lions and Leo Club members to benefit Lions’ projects both locally and world-wide. The menu includes pancakes, locallymad­e maple syrup, sausage, applesauce, and beverage. For dessert, guests are invited to visit the bake sale. The breakfast will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Owl’s Nest at 130 Vanderbilt Ave. Guests should use the Oneida Street entrance. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for children younger than 12 and senior citizens, and available from any chapter member or at the door.
