Vote Democrat and Good Government in Hamilton

I was a member of the Hamilton Town Council from 2010 to 2013. I served with Peter Darby from 2010 to 2013 and with Supervisor Eve Ann Shwartz from 2012 to 2013. During my 4-year term Don Haight was the Town Justice.

Working with these fine public servants has shown me firsthand what a difference these dedicated, intelligent, problem solving individuals have made in our town government.

Great improvements have been made in modernizing the Highway Department, creating efficiency in the tax collection process, and in updating many responsibilities in the Town Clerk’s, Bookkeeper’s, and Code Officer’s jobs.

Eight years ago, the Town Budget was prepared by hand; today every aspect of the Town Office has been computerized. A commitment from these leaders has made these improvements possible.

The Town Council has worked with SOMAC to improve financial operations, add paid staff, and ensure reliable, professional service for our community.

Mary Lee Dinski will bring new skills and vision to the Town Council. During her 12 years with Camp Fiver, Mary has demonstrated expertise in budget preparation, mastery in social media outreach, and involvement of community members in Camp Fiver’s success. Her concern for young people and the significant issues facing the next generation will be essential to our future. She wants to focus on the opioid epidemic locally, certainly a crisis that has reached emergency proportions. She also is interested in job opportunities to keep our young people from moving away when they graduate.
