Police, sheriff arrest five on drug charges
A joint investigation by the Chittenango PD and Madison County sheriff’s office led to five arrests.
Chittenango, N.Y. >> Several people were recently arrested following a joint investigation by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Chittenango Police Department.
On Oct. 26, the Chittenango PD received a complaint about drug activity and sales at 343 S. Webber Drive Later in the day, the sheriff’s office arrested Ronnie Lewis, 42, of Utica, following a traffic stop, in which they allegedly found 5 grams of crack cocaine on Lewis. He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class B felony; fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony; and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor.
The Chittenango PD searched 343 S. Webber Drive and arrested four more suspects.
•Zachary Dryer, 23, of 343 S. Webber Drive, was charged with fourth-degree conspiracy, a Class E felony; seventh- degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana.
•Jill Tuten, 44, of S. Webber Drive, was chargedwith seventh- degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor.
•Michelle Cockrum, 36, of 343 S. Webber Drive, was charged with fourth-degree conspiracy, a Class E felony; first-degree criminal nuisance, a Class E felony; and seventh- degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor.
•Jordan Pallotta, 28, of 38 White St., New York Mills, was charged with fourthdegree conspiracy, a Class E felony; tampering with physical evidence, a Class E felony; petty larceny, a Class A misdemeanor; seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misde- meanor; and possession of marijuana.
Lewis was arraigned at Chittenango Village Court and held at Madison County Jail on no bail. Pallotta was arraigned at Chittenango Village Court and held at Madison County Jail on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. Dryer was arraigned at Chittenango Village Court and held at Madison County Jail on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond. Tuten was arraigned at Chittenango Village Court and held at Madison County Jail on $1,000 cash or $1,500 bond. Cockrum was arraigned at Chittenango Village Court and held at Mad- ison County Jail on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
All suspects are scheduled to appear at the Chittenango Village Court at a later date.
