CANASTOTA » Rosalyn A. (Wagner) Booth, 87, formerly of Canastota, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at Colonial Park Nursing Home, Rome, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on Nov. 11, 1929, in Theresa, a daughter of the late Floyd and Eula (Busler) Daly.

Rosalyn spent her early years in Theresa, attending the Theresa schools. She later lived in Syracuse for many years, Canastota from 1963-1998, and later in Munnsville for 15 years.

She worked at Dey Brothers in Syracuse for 20 years, and later ran the Verona Motor Inn for several years.

Rosalyn was a member of the Clockville United Methodist Church.

She was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchild­ren. She is loved and will be missed by many.

Rosalyn married Darwin J. “Darby” Booth in 1997, in Clockville. Darby died on March 17, 2015.

Surviving are: two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Donna Wagner of Oneida, and Robert Wagner of Florida; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and David Smith of Canastota; two brothers and sisters-inlaw, Jim and Ruth Daly of Nedrow, and Len and Linda Daly of Syracuse; one sister, Joyce Young of Phoenix, N.Y.; 10 grandchild­ren; 14 great-grandchild­ren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James St., Canastota. The Rev. William M. Wilcox, pastor of the Fyler Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lenox Rural Cemetery, Canastota. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. In her memory, contributi­ons may be made to the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatric­k St., Syracuse, N.Y. 13204, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
