Village kicking off month-long celebration
The Village of Hamilton will have a month’s worth of events to celebrate the holiday season.
HAMILTON » Hamilton for the Holidays kicks off a monthof community events with a village-wide Holiday Open House on Nov. 17.
Shoppers can preview holiday merchandise at local businesses, with a night of special sales, refreshments, and restaurant deals. The Late Night Shopping Campaign will continue every Friday through Dec. 22, with shops open until 7 p.m.
The annual Night of Lights on the Hamilton Village Green takes place Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. to celebrate the holidays with hot chocolate and snacks, wagon rides, Santa’s arrival, carol- ing, and the lighting of the holiday tree.
Horse- drawn wagon rides will be offered onDec. 2, 9 and 16 from 3-5 p.m. at the Colgate Inn on Payne Street.
Santa will be visiting at Parry’s Hardware on Dec. 9 and23 from10a.m. to 1 p.m.
Residents can show their holiday spirit during the second Hamilton House Decorating Contest. Thewinners will receive $250 to spend locally for the holidays and will also select a local nonprofit that will receive another $250. To enter, fill out the form on thisishamiltonny.com by Dec. 10.
