EATON » Diana L. Jantzen, 65, of Landon Road, passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.

She was born Nov. 11, 1951 in Norwich, N.Y., a daughter of Nancey Spinella and was a graduate of Earlville High School. On Oct. 16, 1968, Diana married James C. Jantzen Sr. in St. Malachy’s Church, Sherburne. She had worked in food service as a cook at the Gerrit Smith Infirmary and kitchen staff at the Crouse Community Center. She was also a cashier at the Dougherty Pharmacy in Morrisvill­e until retiring.

Diana was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Earlville. She was an avid bowler for more than 40 years, as a single and in the couple’s league with Jim. She was also a member of the Chenango Water Exercise Group in Hamilton. She enjoyed going out on Friday nights and dining with other couples.

Surviving are her husband, James Sr.; a son and daughter-inlaw, Jeff and Kendra Jantzen of Minnesota; two g randchi l dren, Cassie and Sam; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Paul Stroich of Clinton; and brother, Richard Brigham and Jen Brown of Hamilton. She was predecease­d by a son, James C. Jantzen Jr. and a grandson, Jake Jantzen.

Services are private at the convenienc­e of her family.

Contributi­ons in her memory may be made to the Central Assoc. for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 501 Kent St., Utica, N.Y. 13501.
