Wanderers’ Rest kicks off donation campaign
Items on the Holiday Wish List include food, toys, bedding, cleaning supplies and donations for medicine.
Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association is ready to kick off its Holiday Wish List Drive.
Items on the Wish List include regular or grain free cat and dog food (both canned and dry); toys of all kinds for both dogs and cats; bedding and towels; cleaning supplies, especially bleach, garbage bags, paper towels; scrubs for the employees (new and used); paper booties and hair nets, sponges, scrub brushes, small and large squeegees, brooms, dustpans, and mop handles. Office supplies are also needed.
Donations are also accepted for spaying and neutering, veterinary care, medicine, medical supplies and equipment, and operational expenses. This year anyone can donate to the new Archie’s Fund,
a special medical program designed to help in-shelter animals that need spe- cial procedures beyond the normal routine care. All monetary donations can be ear-marked for a specific purpose or a general fund collection.
Wanderers’ Rest welcomes donations from Girl and Boy Scout troops, local businesses, civic groups, schools, church groups, and children and teens who want to collect for their birthdays instead of gifts.
