VERONA, N.Y. » Jeanne A. Eastman, 82, of Verona passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017 at the Oneida Healthcare Center.

Jeanne was born Aug. 12, 1935 in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Carl Luther and Pauline Frances (Falsey) Smith. She attended Morrisvill­e-Eaton Schools. Shewas a long time resident of Chittenang­o and also resided in Wampsville, Oriskany Falls and for the past 25 years in Verona. She was employed at the Madison County Treasurers Office for 12 years and was a long time employee of the Chittenang­o Village Clerk’s Office retiring in 2001. She married William E. “Radar” Eastman Sept. 5, 1953 and wasmarried over 35 years until his passing in 1989.

Jeanne was a loving partner, devoted mother, nurturing grandmothe­r, caring greatgrand­mother and true friend. Her biggest joy was being with the people she loved. She loved to sing and tell stories. She was a formermemb­er of theWampsvi­lle Fire Department Auxiliary, she liked to bowl and especially enjoyed the tournament­s she attended with family and friends, she also enjoyed traveling and shopping trips with Aunt Blanche.

Shewas also predecease­d by her brothers Richard Smith and Gerald Smith and sisters Joan Austin and Sharon Buffard. Surviving are her loving partner of 26 years RogerHoose, her daughter Deb Jaziewicz (Ron), her sonKen Eastman, daughter Robin Chapin (Larry) and daughter Tena Kampf, her brothers, Ron Smith (Gail) and Bill Smith (Rosie), her sisters, Carolyn Curtis (Terry) and Donna Storer (Kevin Putterick), her grandchild­ren, Danyelle Kampf (Troy Lanier), Chea Eastman (Joe Thomas) David Kampf Jr. (Julie), Candice Morgan (Dick), Catherine Carlson and partner MyaHalpin, Dakota Chapin, Logan Shrank and Saman- tha, her great-grandchild­ren, Troy Lanier Jr., Tyrese Lanier, Kyla Rohem, Donovan Rohem, Gavin Carlson, Christophe­r Schrank, Amber Schrank, HayleyKamp­f, William Morgan and Whitney Morgan and several nieces, nephews, cousins and their children.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 at the G.F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Drive, Chittenang­o Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenang­o.
