Healthy dining habits

-

On Dec. 3 “Dining in for Healthy Families” will again be sponsored by the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences.

Last year, people from 50 states, seven continents and 17 countries were involved. With the high rate of obesity, heart disease and diabetes in the country, it calls attention to a simple action that families can take to become healthier -- preparing and eating a nutritious meal together. Eating healthy meals at home not only helps family members develop good eating habits leading to life-long health, but it also saves money and fosters family togetherness and communication.

I would like to invite everyone to join us in “Dining In.” Signing up is as simple as going to www.aafcs. org/FCSday and leaving your name, town and the number of people with whom you will be eating. Enjoy your meals and your families!

Thank you for voting DiVeronica

To the voters of the Town of Lenox, I’d like to extend my appreciation for your support in the recent November election. Your confidence and trust in my ability to lead the Town of Lenox for the next four years is very much so appreciated.

I’d also like to take a minute to thank all my commit- tee members, poll watchers and the people who had anything to do with helping me attain the Supervisor position commencing Jan. 1, 2018. There are way too many individuals to mention each of you by name, but you know who you are, so again a huge thank you for your support. Now that the election is over, it makes no difference if you supported me or Mr. Pinard, just by voting it shows you are as concerned about the wellbeing of Lenox as I do. Going forward I hope we all can come together with an agenda that will benefit our town to the utmost possible outcome. Again, I thank you for your support and look forward to representing ALL the residents of the Town of Lenox in the coming years. via social media.

I truly appreciate each and every one of you who put your confidence in me again. I am honored to continue serving as councilman on the Verona Town Board. Last, but not least, thanks to my wife, Kathy and daughters, Katherine and Marissa, as well as my son, Freddy for their continued support. Thank you!
