WAMPSVILLE >> Patricia Phethean Fiore, at the age of 79, of Wampsville, N.Y. died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018 at the Oneida Extended Car Facility following a declining illness. She was born in North Syracuse on Aug. 28, 1938 the daughter of John and Agnes Ayres Phethean. Patricia graduated from North Syracuse High School. She was employed for a short time at the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce as an operator prior to her marriage to John Fiore in 1959. The couple observed their 57th wedding anniversar­y. Pat enjoyed working for her three brothers-in-law, Alex, Louie and Anthony, all pharmacist­s who at one time owned stores in Oneida, Rome and Utica, as a pharmacy technician. She also worked for her brother-in-law Frank Fiore as a bookkeeper for the Fiore Funeral Home. Pat was a very pleasant person with a soft spoken voice and a good sense of humor. She loved her cats. She is survived by her husband, John, at home; one son, Kevin (Amy) Fiore of Rome; a daughter, Lisa Corsette of Utica; three brothers, Jack, Ed, and Ron Phethean; three grandchild­ren, Morgan and David Corsette, and Clarie Kondella and one great-grandchild, Jayveon Brown; and a nephew, Steve Phethean in Texas. A private funeral service will be held at the convenienc­e of the family with the Rev. William A. Mesmer, pastor of St. Helena’s Church, Sherrill, N.Y., officiatin­g. As per Pat’s request, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be made in St. Agatha’s Cemetery, Canastota, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons can be made to their respective charity. The Fiore Funeral Home, 303 Main St., Oneida, N.Y. is in charge of the arrangemen­ts. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Utica, and the Extended Care Facility, Oneida, N.Y. for their excellent care.
