Pre-K registration begins today

The Madison-Oneida BOCES Early Childhood Program will hold registration events for children in the Oneida, Canastota and Stockbridge Valley districts planning to begin pre-kindergarten in the fall of 2018. Registration dates are: Oneida families: Thursday, Feb. 1, from 3-7 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 2, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Willard Prior Elementary School

Canastota families: Thursday, Feb. 8, from8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Peterboro Street Elementary School

Stockbridge Valley families: Wednesday, Feb. 14, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Stockbridge Valley Elementary School

Parents must bring to registration: their children’s birth certificates and immunization records as well as proof of residency in the district (a current mortgage statement, lease agreement or utility bill, for example). Parents are encouraged to register now so children can participate in orientation programs. It is not necessary for children to attend this registration.

Madison- Oneida BOCES offers a high-quality early education program to students in participating school districts. Classes are led by certified teachers and teaching assistants/aides. Transportation is provided and paren-

tal involvement is strongly encouraged.
