ONEIDA >> Harry N. Hawver, 39, Sconondoa Street, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, in the Emergency Room of the Oneida Healthcare Center, shortly after his admission as a medical patient. Born in Oneida, on Dec. 15, 1978, he was the son of Harry N. and Lila Kimball Hawver Sr. A lifelong resident of the Oneida area, Harry was a graduate of the Oneida High School, Class of 1998. He married Elsie Granger in First United Methodist Church, Oneida on Aug. 25, 2007. Prior to his retirement in September, 2017, due to medical reasons, Harry was employed with H.P. Hood, Inc. in Oneida. He had a very strong interest in railroads and was active with collection of model trains and maintained a close friendship with his co-workers at Hood Surviving besides his wife, Elsie, are his daughter, Maria Rose Hawver, at home; his mother and stepfather, Lila and Gary Dixon of Oneida; his father, Harry Hawver Sr. of Verona; his brother and children, Ronald Hawver and Nathan James Niles Hawver, Roberta and Peyton Coonrod, all of Oneida; his step-brother and wife, Travis and Liz Campbell and their son Devon of Verona; his maternal grandmothe­r, Marion Hitchings of Rome; parents-in-law, Fred and Brenda Granger of Oneida; brother-inlaw, Fred Granger of Camden and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predecease­d by his grandfathe­r, Gerald Kimball. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m., Saturday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., with the Rev. Gary Spraker, officiatin­g. Spring interment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 2-4 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service.
