Senior Tyler Kuhn (Oneida) had 17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 assists in an 87-73 loss to Paul Smith’s College.

Alfred University

Sophomore Krissy Roberts (Chittenang­o) earned her first Empire 8 Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Roberts picked up her first event win in the long jump on

Saturday at Houghton College. She won the event with a huge personal-best distance of 5.14m, topping her previous mark of 4.98m. She is now 0.54m away from tying the Alfred University school record of 5.68m set by Val Thompson in 1984 (Thompson is one of Alfred University’s three NCAA National Champions, winning the 100-meter hurdles in the outdoor 1983 season). Roberts also competed in the triple jump where she finished fifth with a hop-skip-jump of 10.00m.

Morrisvill­e State Mens Basketball

Five from visiting Morrisvill­e State College netted double figures as they collected an 88-78 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory Saturday afternoon over host Wells College on the road in Aurora. The win is the fourth straight for the Mustangs who improve to 15-8 on the season, and boast a 13-2 NEAC record to complete the series sweep.

Morrisvill­e State Womens Basketball

Freshman Alexis Campbell (Buffalo, N.Y.) rattled off 12 of her game total 27 points in overtime Saturday, leading visiting Morrisvill­e State College women’s basketball to the 92-88 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win over host Wells College in Aurora. With the win, Morrisvill­e State ups their conference record to 11-4 to complete the series sweep, while posting a 1310 overall record. Wells falls to 7-7 in NEAC play, 8-15 overall to date on the season.

Morrisvill­e State Womens Ice Hockey

Visiting Morrisvill­e State College women’s ice hockey completed the weekend sweep to take over control of the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) standings Saturday as they downed Endicott College 2-0 in the afternoon’s matchup held at the Bourque Arena in Beverly, Massachuse­tts. Morrisvill­e State (13-7-3), who sits at 8- 0-2 in CHC action, takes over the lead in the conference standings, remaining the lone unbeaten team after handing Endicott (17-4-2, 8-2-2 CHC) two straight losses on their home ice this weekend.

Colgate launched the 2018 season with its highest goal total in nearly three years and its best first-game goal count in 11 years, resulting in an 18-12 thumping of Marist Saturday afternoon.
