The cost is $10 for adults, $4 for ages 6-11 and free for children 5 and younger. The church is handicappe­d accessible. Ten percent of the proceeds will benefit missions. Irish Buffet served March 10

VERONA » Verona United Methodist Church on Main Street will hold its annual Irish Buffet on March 10 from 4-6 p.m. The menu includes corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie, Guinness stew, colcannon, root vegetable trio, scones and clotted cream, Irish soda bread, green deserts and beverages. Cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children.

St. John’s Lenten program continues

ONEIDA » St. John’s Episcopal Church will hold a Lenten program on Wednesdays through March 21 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Each session of the series, called “Oneida Unmasked” will feature a presentati­on by a civic leader, and conclude with evening prayers. Thrift shop reopens March 16

MORRISVILL­E » Second Chance Thrift Shoppe of CNY, Inc. Route 20, (former Buzzy’s Diner building) will be reopening Friday, March 16. The shop is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Net proceeds go to local animal rescue programs. Second Chance Thrift Shoppe is a volunteer organizati­on. Donations of household goods are accepted during business hours. The shop is unable to accept donations of television­s, monitors, printers or electronic­s, firearms, clothing, shoes, mattresses, box springs or large furniture items.
