CANASTOTA >> Louise C. Pulverenti, 79, of 4 Grago Blvd., Canastota, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility, following a lengthy illness. She was born on April 12, 1938, in the Town of Sullivan, a daughter of the late Samuel and Reatha (DeGroat) Grago. Louise was a lifelong resident of Canastota, attending Canastota Schools. She worked for General Electric in Syracuse, and for Nye Ford in Oneida for many years. She later worked in the cafeteria at the Canastota schools, and at Turning Stone Casino in Verona. Louise was a member of the St. Agatha’s Church in Canastota. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, baking cookies and desserts, canning, traveling, camping, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchild­ren. She married Samuel L. Pulverenti III, on July 4, 1957, in Canastota, N.Y. Sam died on April 26, 2005. Surviving are: two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Tracy Pulverenti of Canastota, and Joseph and Lori Pulverenti of Parrish, Fla.; four grandchild­ren, Nicholas and Kimberly Pulverenti of Canastota, Sara Pulverenti and Justin Snow of Canastota, Samantha and Nicholas Lim of Norfolk, Va., and Lindsey Pulverenti of Bradenton, Fla.; four great-grandchild­ren, Luca Pulverenti, Isla Pulverenti, Elias Snow, and Vincent Pulverenti; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Mary Grago, and Samuel and Nancy Grago, all of Canastota, and Morrow and Susan Grago of Manlius; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Edna and Thomas Cooper, and Angeline and John Iannone, all of Canastota; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Louise was predecease­d by a sister, Reatha “Snooky” Grago. Louise’s family would like to thank the staff at the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility for the wonderful care she received there. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James St., Canastota. Deacon Adolph Uryniak of St. Agatha’s Church, Canastota, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agatha’s Cemetery, Canastota. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In her memory, contributi­ons may be made to St. Agatha’s Church, 329 N. Peterboro St., Canastota, N.Y. 13032, with envelopes available at the funeral home. J. HOMER BALL FUNERAL HOME, INC.
