Local Easter egg hunts planned
The following is a brief list of Easter egg hunts scheduled throughout the area.
Friday, March 30
• The annual Sherrill Easter Egg Hunt takes place at the Sherrill Community Activity Center (CAC) on March 30. The event starts at 10 a.m. and there will be a special guest appearance by the Easter Bunny.
•The Great Swamp Conservancy of Canastota will host an Easter Egg Hunt on March 30 with gates opening at 10 a.m.
The egg hunt starts at 11 a.m. with age categories for children 2-12. Prizes will be awarded. The event will include a visit with the Easter Bunny, games, Easter crafts and a coloring contest.
The egg hunt takes place rain or shine at 8375 N. Main St., Ca- nastota. Admission is $1 per child. For more information, call (315) 697-2950.
Saturday, March 31
• The Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt hosted by Kallet Civic Center and City of Oneida Parks and Recreation will be held March 31 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kallet, 159 Main St., Oneida.
Hunts will be held at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Register for
a time at cityofoneida. recdesk.com/Community/ Program. Bring a bag or basket for eggs.
• Cazenovia Lions Club’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Lakeland Park on March 31 at 10 a.m.
• The Village of Vernon will hold its Easter Egg Hunt on March 31 at 11 a.m. at Bartholomew Park.
• The Town of Lenox Annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, March 31 at the Municipal Building, South Peterboro Street, Canastota, at 11 a.m. The event is open to residents of the Canastota School District/Town of Lenox, ages 12 and younger. There will be more than 5,000 candy filled eggs, many of them with gold coins to be redeemed for prizes. Participants should bring a basket to gather eggs.
