Brindisi cares about community

-

Today I was very happy to sign a petition supporting Anthony Brindisi’s bid to be our Democratic candidate for Congress in NewYork State’s 22nd district.

It has been such a pleasure getting to know him this past year. As an aspiring politician myself, I have been inspired by the way he reaches out and gets to know the people he represents. He really listens and takes people’s concerns to heart. He is a principled independent thinker who believes in solving problems through non-partisan cooperation and hard work.

Last fall when I was a firsttime candidate in Westmoreland, even though I was running a very uphill battle, he came out to support me the night before the election, and every time I go to support him (like in the St. Patrick’s Day parade) he asks about our town. He cares about small towns as much as he does the bigger cities.

Elected officials should be accessible and responsive to their constituents; our current congressional representative is neither. He has a track record of delivering for the people he represents that Claudia Tenney does not. As an Assemblyman he has fought for public education, health care, seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, and the business community. He has faithfully represented everyone in his constituency. Anthony Brindisi delivers for small towns; just last month he secured $20,000 in grants for the police and fire departments in Oriskany. Imagine what he will do when he is representing us in Washington. Ron Klopfanstein,

Westmoreland
