DARWIN L. CORDELL
CANASTOTA >> Darwin L. Cordell, 74, Old County Road, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in Crouse Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. Born in Canastota, on Feb. 10, 1944, he was the son of Fredrick G. and Rosalie Tuller Cordell. A lifelong resident of the area, Darwin was a graduate of Oneida High School. He married Sharon Cox-Meyers in August of 1995. Mrs. Cordell predeceased Darwin on March 28, 2009. Darwin owned and operated a dairy farm in Canastota for many years. He was an avid horse enthusiast and belonged to many area horse clubs. Darwin enjoyed country music and dancing. Surviving are: his companion, Carol Lasher; his daughter and son-in-law, Tammi and Wayne Case of Cazenovia; his son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Stephanie Cordell of Clockville; his step-daughter, Lisa Meyers-Maxwell and her husband Mark of Canastota; his step-son, Timothy Meyers of Canastota; six grandchildren, Brandon Case, Mya Cordell, Samantha Cordell, Ethan Cordell, Sydney Maxwell and Troy Maxwell and his first spouse, Gerri Cordell. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 300 S. Peterboro St., Canastota with the funeral service immediately following with the Rev. Bill Wilcox, officiating. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15 in the Lenox-Rural Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
