Zecca wrong about Tenney opponents

-

I would like to respond to Jim Zecca’s letter to the editor titled “Leftists continue bullying Tenney” 3/20/18.

When Mr. Zecca states that the opposition to Congresswoman Claudia Tenney are “radical left wing extremists” “who are nothing more than bullies,” the fact is these very people he is describing have very real relevant issues regarding Claudia, like the fact her voting record does not match what she says in public. By labeling and minimizing the public’s voice, Mr. Zecca is practicing the very same politics she is.

Only talking to your base is not representing the district. I have tried to reach out to Claudia on many occasions, as have others, to no avail. I like to hear both sides of an issue before deciding. I think people in her district would like to have meaningful dialogue with her. Her Republican fellow, Mr. Katko, seems to be able to speak with ALL his constituents just fine. I respect him for that. I even agree with some of his views. I would like to call out Ms. Tenney to debate Mr. Brindisi in a televised debate. ALL of her constituents need to hear her explain why she votes the way she does. Then we will vote.
