Madison County Fair returns July 12-15
BROOKFIELD, N.Y. » The Madison County Fair opens Thursday, July 12 and continues through Sunday, July 15, at the Madison County Fairgrounds in Brookfield. Gates open at 10 a.m. On Thursday, the Firemen’s Parade starts at 6 p.m. and is followed by the Madison County Fair’s premiere Team Demolition Derby at 7 p.m.
On Friday, senior citizens get in free. At 4 p.m., experience the taste and talent of Madison County at the Local Food Evening and the Talent Show. Don’t miss out on the power pulling action beginning at 7 p.m. when the gas and diesel trucks take on the weight machine and dance the night away with the band Broken Rule on stage.
Saturday is Youth Day. Join the fun with 4-H and FFA Make N’ Take activities. At 1 p.m. witness the wild Power Wheels Demolition Derby and see the crowning of Miss and Mister Madison County at the pageant. The ever-popular King’s Smashem’ Crashem’ Demolition Derby and Rollover Contest begins at 4 p.m., followed by the music of the Lum Brothers Band on the stage at 7 p.m.
Sunday is Local Agriculture Day. Gates open at 8 a.m. with the Tractor Pull spinning off at 9:30 a.m.. Matt Chase and the Thunder Canyon Band will take the stage at 3 p.m. The bicycle giveaway takes place at 2 p.m. andthe Chainsaw Art Silent Auction winners will be announced at 3 p.m.
