The following area students graduated from SUNY Fredonia in spring 2018: Sophia N. Cowburn of Cazenovia, Hayley E. Frost of Cazenovia, and Joseph Gugino of Cazenovia.

Emma Zulch was named to the Dean’s List at Bates College for the winter semester ending in April 2018. Zulch, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Peter A. Zulch of Sherrill, is a 2014 graduate of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School. She is majoring in biological chemistry.

The following local students graduated from Nazareth College on May 13, 2018: Alexandra Bennett of Oneida received bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders. Shelby Just of Chittenango received a bachelor’s degree in Inclusive Education and Psychology with a minor in Community Youth Development.
Emily Mroczek of Cazenovia received a bachelor’s degree in Community Youth Development and Music with aminor in Religious Studies, Music History.
Alexis Peavey of Madison received a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders with a minor in Psychology.
Matthew Roher of Morrisville received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Management.

Allison Holmes of Sherrill was awarded a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering with high distinction from Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Saturday, May 12.

The following residents graduated from Marist College the weekend of May 18. Madison Gabor of Cazenovia received a bachelor of arts degree in Communication. Amanda Taranto of Hamilton received a master of arts degree in Integrated Marketing Communication.

Summer Lancette of Oneida was commissioned into the U.S. Army at the Army ROTC Golden Knight Battalion’s spring commissioning on May 12 at Clarkson University.

Simon Pitman of Sherrill graduated from Saint Francis University with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry during the May 13, 2018 commencement exercises.

Hannah Turner of Chittenango has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2018 semester at the University of Vermont. Turner is majoring in Environmental Sciences in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources.

The following students have been named to the Champlain College Dean’s List for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in the spring 2018 semester: Sarah Franco of Cazenovia, Travis Kennedy of Oneida.

Elsa M. Coughlin of Cazenovia has been selected for membership in the Art and Art History honorary society at St. Lawrence University. Coughlin, a member of the Class of 2019, is majoring in art and art history and government. She attended Cazenovia High School.

Daniel Galvez of Hamilton is one of nearly 700 Lebanon Valley College students named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester.

Lauren J. Weeks of Hamilton was inducted into the St. Lawrence University chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society. Weeks, amember of the Class of 2018, is majoring in performance and communication arts. She attended Hamilton Central School.

Alexander Saville of Sherrill graduated from Eastern New Mexico University on May 12, 2018.

Aaron Griffith of Oneida was named to the spring 2018 Dean’s List at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Gabriel S. Linden, son of Mary Bartlett-Linden of Madison and Brett Linden of Hamilton, has been named to the Dean’s List at Hamilton College for the 2018 spring semester. Linden, a
rising junior majoring in biology, is a graduate of Madison Central School.
• The following local students received awards at Cazenovia College’s 2018 Academic Awards Ceremony.
Ruth Bender of Chittenango received the Rita Hammond Memorial Award in Photography.
Lydia Dorward of De Ruyter received the Academic Program Award from the Social Science Program.
Anne Vaccaro of Oneida received the Hubbard Award for Studio Art and the Academic Program Award.
• Carson C. Clonan, a 2018 graduate of Cazenovia High School, has received an Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps scholarship to attend Cornell Univer- sity, Ithaca. Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, physical fitness, specific performance or accomplishments, and leadership abilities, as well as personal interviews.
The scholarship entitlements include tuition and fees, an annual allowance of $600 for textbooks and a monthly stipend for up to 10 months of each school year that the cadet completes at the host college or university.
Upon graduation and completion of the ROTC program, the cadet receives a bachelor’s degree and a commission as a second lieutenant in the Air Force. He or she also incurs a military service obligation of four years (10 years for pilots) of activeduty enlistment.

Cazenovia resident Burkett Jeffery Regan has been named to the Dean’s List at James Madison University for the spring 2018 semester. Regan is majoring in marketing.
• Eden Connor of Cazenovia and William Milligan of Canastota graduated on May 20 at Colgate University’s 197th Commencement.
• The following area students were named to the President’s List at SUNY Geneseo for the spring 2018 semester: Sarah Papa from Oneida, Caitlin Williams from Oneida.
