2 doctors join medical staff
HAMILTON, N.Y. » On Aug. 15, Community Memorial Family Health Centers welcomes two primary care physicians, Dr. Jocelyn Morin who will join the medical staff at the Cazenovia Family Health Center and Dr. Hao Lam, DO, FAAFP at the Morrisville Family Health Center.
“We’re excited to add Dr. Morin and Dr. Lam to our Family Health Center teams,” said Dr. Michael Walsh, DO, vice president of Provider Integrated Services. “Dr. Morin not only is great for our organization, but has a strong passion for providing community-based care. She has been recognized nationally and internationally for outstanding humanitarian medicine efforts. Dr. Lam provides a great blend of top-notch clinical education and knowledge and more than 20 years of experience in patient care.”
Morin is a graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. She served in the Peace Corps for four years as a volunteer, secondary school teacher and chemistry/biochemistry professor in Sub-Saharan Africa before attending and graduating from The Ohio State University Medical School in Columbus, Ohio, where she completed her Family Medicine residency. Morin is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Ohio Association of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.
Lam comes to the Community Memorial network of care from Yonkers, N.Y., where he was most recently a provider for Southern Westchester Urgent Care. Graduating from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, Lam received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Ill. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center and recently received his Master of Public Administration from Baruch College in New York City. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and Degree of Fellow - American Academy of Family Physicians. Lam is also fluent in Spanish, Vietnamese and Chinese.
“My approach is empathetic and non-judgmental. I see myself as a listener and a guide who empow- ers individuals to become active decision-makers in their own care,” Lam said. “I put myself in the shoes of my patients and ask how would I like to be treated?”
The Family Health Centers in Cazenovia and Morrisville offer primary and preventative care for newborns to the young-atheart. All services are directly connected to and supported by Community Memorial Specialties and Hospital Services, and are accessible to the Crouse Health network of services.
The Cazenovia Family Health Center is located at 3045 John Trush Boulevard and the Morrisville Family Health Center is located at 3460 South Street.
