Nate Gross Band brings musical fusion
Hamilton’s Thursdays on the Green series continues with a twist of blues, jazz, country, R&B and Americana.
HAMILTON, N.Y. » Hamilton’s Thursdays on the Green series continues on Aug. 2 with a performance by the Nate Gross Band.
Gross, 35, describes himself as an “old soul.” He plays blues, jazz, country, R&B, and Americana in a fusion of musical tastes.
In addition to Gross’ performances, this Thursday’s event theme is Racing Night with Matt Janczuk. Local Hamilton Police Sgt. Janczuk is a 5-time champion and currently sits in the lead for his sixth season championship at the Utica-Rome Speedway.
Yard games will be avail- able including: KanJam, Corn Hole, and the Ladder Game, courtesy of Parry’s General Store, as well as Giant Jenga, Yard Yahtzee, and a Washer Toss game. This week’s special activities include making and racing balloon-powered Lego race cars, photo opportunities with Janczuk, trivia contests, giveaways, and chances to win prizes. There will be free popcorn and free snow cones provided by the Colgate Campus Safety Office.
This week’s proceeds from local vendors will benefit the Hamilton Area Community Coalition to build a safe and healthy Hamilton by empowering youths to make positive life choices.
