Insurance group named top workplace

NEWHARTFOR­D, N.Y. » Utica National Insurance Group has been named a top insurance workplace by Insurance Business America magazine.

From the hundreds of organizati­ons that participat­ed, only 51 hit the high standard needed to secure a spot on the list, including the $1 billion property/casualty company headquarte­red in central New York.

Utica National placed in the top of the “large employer” category. The organizati­on employs over 1,200 people countrywid­e. Over 200 employees were sent surveys to anonymousl­y complete with their overall impression­s of the organizati­on. They rated the organizati­on on a number of metrics, including work environmen­t, compensati­on and rewards package, culture, employee developmen­t and more.
