Insurance group named top workplace
NEWHARTFORD, N.Y. » Utica National Insurance Group has been named a top insurance workplace by Insurance Business America magazine.
From the hundreds of organizations that participated, only 51 hit the high standard needed to secure a spot on the list, including the $1 billion property/casualty company headquartered in central New York.
“Our customers tell us that our people are our biggest differentiator in the marketplace,” said Rich Creedon, president and chief executive officer of Utica National Insurance Group. “This award is an affirmation that our culture and people are thriving. Our employees live our values and work as a team to create an atmosphere where people feel appreciated, respected, and cared about. We believe that we absolutely are one of the best places to work and are proud to have our employees acknowledge this, and Insurance Business America recognize us for this.”
Utica National placed in the top of the “large employer” category. The organization employs over 1,200 people countrywide. Over 200 employees were sent surveys to anonymously complete with their overall impressions of the organization. They rated the organization on a number of metrics, including work environment, compensation and rewards package, culture, employee development and more.
“We’re thrilled for Utica National Insurance Group and all the other hugely successful organizations who made it into the Top Insurance Workplaces report,” said Paul Lucas, Insurance Business America editor. “It’s always a pleasure to recognize those employers who go the extra mile to create a great environment for their workers.
