Global warming program
UTICA » Mike DeWein and Ed Smyth, board members for New York Interfaith Power and Light (NYIPL), will talk about the mission and work of NYIPL at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Utica on Sunday, Sept. 16, at 10:30 a.m. NYIPL is an independent nonprofit organization which helps diverse faith communities in New York actively respond to global warming as responsible stewards of creation. DeWein and Smyth work in the energy consulting industry and have significant experience in areas of energy efficiency and sustainability. .
St. Pat’s Golf
ONEIDA » St. Patrick’s School is holding their second annual golf tournament on Sunday, Sept. 23 at Oneida Community Golf Course. Tee off is at 10 a.m. The cost is $75 per golfer which includes a cart, two beverages on the cart, lunch on the turn, and dinner. All proceeds benefit St. Patrick’s School students. Blessing of graves
CAMDEN » The Friends of St. Mary’s, Florence, are hosting a Mass on Sunday, Sept. 23 at noon at the church, located on Florence-Osceola Road in Camden. Celebrant of the Mass will be the Rev. Thomas J. Costello. The blessing of the graves will take place at the completion of the service. Raffle tickets are still available.
