Community makes Memorial Day service possible

The Oneida Memorial Associatio­n (OMA) has started planning for the Memorial Day Service, and the parade for 2019!

The OMA is comprised of a handful of volunteers who rely on the community to be able to honor the men and women who have fallen during war time. We were facedwitha­financial hardship and had to make difficult decisions to keep things going. We would like to thank everyone who supported, gave financiall­y, or helped out in one way or another, for us to continue to put onthe service and the parade last year.

The OMA is off to an encouragin­g start with its funds, as we collected loose change during the parade in the amount of $236. This money was ear marked for the May 2019 parade. A special thank you for everyone who gave during this time, as you sent the message that you care about what the OMA is doing for the community. We hope everyone will support us with the various fund raisers we have planned throughout the year, or join us by volunteeri­ng for a day, or throughout the year.
