Michael Polce, Giovanni Gualtieri, and Oliver Dragojevic found the back of the net for RFA in the win. CHITTENANG­O 2, HAMILTON 0 >> Caleb Prenoveau and Sean Larsson each found the back of the net for Chittenang­o in a non-league victory over Hamilton. Noah Schnauffer recorded four saves in the shutout.

EARLVILLE 1 >> Canastota’s Mackenzie Mitchell and Sherburne-Earlville’s Tessa Cole convereted penalty kicks for the only scores in a CSC Division I girls soccer showdown that ended in a 1-1 draw.

CHITTENANG­O 54, MEXICO 48 >> Brian Lamaitis racked up four passing touchdowns and added another on the ground to lead Chittenang­o past Mexico on Friday. Both teams were clicking on offense throughout the contest, but Mexico could not dig out of a 25-14 hole after the first quarter. Keith Spurgeon reeled in two touchdown receptions from Lamaitis to help pace the Chittenang­o attack. Chittenang­o improves to 3-2 on the season with the win. Mexico drops to 0-5.

New York Mills 36, Morrisvill­e-Eaton 22 >> After Morrisvill­e-Eaton grabbed a 14-8 lead at the end of the first quarter, New York Mills outscored M-E 28-8 the rest of the way for a 3622 win. Logan Copperwhea­t paced Mills with two rushing touchdowns in the win. Jordan Burke led the way for Morrisvill­e-Eaton in the defeat, rushing for two scores, including a 97-yard touchdown. ONEIDA35, CENTRAL VALLEY ACADEMY 15 >> Oneida jetted out to a 21-0 lead over Central Valley Academy in the first quarter of Friday’s Class B tilt and never looked back en route to a 35-15 win.

Jordan Clark, Oneida’s hero last week with the game winning reception against Chittenang­o, got things rolling for Oneida with a 25-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Teammate Zander Farr added a 1-yard touchdown run later in the quarter before Lukas Albro, hit Ty D’Arcengelis for a 69yard touchdown and a 21-0 Oneida lead.

The teams traded two touchdowns a piece the rest of the way as Oneida clinched the win and improved to 5-0 on the season. With the victory, Jason Fuller’s Oneida side stays atop the Class B East heap. CAMDEN 31, VERNON-VERONA-SHERRILL 20 >> Trailing VVS 14-7 after the first quarter, Camden outscored the No. 20 Red Devils 24-6 the rest of the way en route to a 31-20 upset. Kaden Gabler threw a pair of touchdowns for Camden in the win, hitting Gavin Vera on a 60-yard touchdown in the first quarter and connecting with Tyler Parent on a 70-yard pass-and-catch for a score in the second quarter. The Blue Devil defense gave Camden a huge boost in the victory with two intercepti­ons returned for touchdowns. Alex Oliver paced the Red Devils with a pair of rushing touchdowns, while Travis Decker returned a kickoff 88 yards for the score in the defeat. Camden improves to 2-3 on the season, owners of backto-back wins. VVS falls to 4-1 on the season for second place in the Class B East.

CAZENOVIA5, BEAVER RIVER 0 >> Cazenovia rolled over Beaver River behind strong singles play from Alex Galle, Laura Connor, and Abby Burrell, all victorious in straight sets. The Lakers did not miss a beat on the doubles side of things as Kaitlyn Puffer and Nina Royer, and Charley Harris and EmmieDolbe­ar teamed for wins to ensure the Cazenovia shutout.

CAMDEN 7, CAZENOVIA 0 >> Upset on the opening night of the O’Connor Classic a season ago, hosting Camden made sure it would be in the championsh­ip game of its own tournament with a no-doubt, 7-0 win over Cazenovia. Mackenzie Mix scored twice to lead the Blue Devils, and Abby Walker, Delaney Alberico, Mercedes Currie, Lili Sullivan, and Ariel Croniser joined Mix in the scoring column with a goal each. Camden improves to 8-1 on the season and will take on Greene on Sautrday for a 2:30 title bout. She Flannery came up with 22 saves for Cazenovia.

ONEIDA 4, CAMDEN 1 >> Kayla Suppa led all scorers with a pair of goals in Thursday’s TVL clash between Oneida and Camden to power Scott Fallon’s Oneida side to a 4-1 win. Paige Nashton and Amelia Bowman McCoy each added a goal for Oneida in the win. Molly Dunfield scored Camden’s lone goal.

CAZENOVIA3, CHITTENANG­O 1>> Leading Chittenang­o 1-0 at the half of Thursday’s boys soccer bout, Cazenovia used a pair of second half goals to secure a 3-1 win. Joe Spires led the Lakers with a pair of goals in the victory. Artie Paul paced Chittenang­o with one score. VERNON- VERONA- SHERRILL 2, CENTRAL VALLEY ACADEMY 1 >> After Andrew Lewin and Corey Couture each tallied in the first half to set VVS up with a 2-1 lead over CVA at the halftime break, the Red Devil defense did the rest, keeping CVA off the board in the second as VVS held on for the 2-1 victory. ONEIDA 2, CAMDEN 0>> Oneida used goals from Isaac Colvin and Ajay Hicks to put Camden away 2-0 on Thursday. Jacob Vaccaro posted eight saves for Oneida in the shutout.

Girls Tennis

CLINTON 3, CANASTOTA 2>> Mei Cassidy-Heekin surived a 7-5, 7- 6(7-3) marathon with Canastota’s Kacey Cashel to help Clinton to a 3-2 win on Thursday. The loss is just Canastota’s second of the season.
