EARLVILLE OPERAHOUSE
Double feature weekend with Dove Creek, Williams Road Band
EARLVILLE, N.Y. >> The Earlville Opera House brings two musical performances to audiences this weekend with Dove Creek on Friday and the Williams Road Band on Saturday.
On Friday, Oct. 5, the Arts Café welcomes Dove Creek with original member Putter Cox joining Reyna Stagnaro for a special night of music. Stagnaro and Cox formed Dove Creek in 2008 and developed their sig- nature blend of eclectic Americana. Their repertoire includes originals, covers, and instrumentals. Cox left Hamilton two years ago and resides in Virginia. Stagnaro continues the duo with guitarist Ed Vollmer, but this performance will be a nostalgic nod to the old favorites that created and defined Dove Creek with some new songs, too.
Tickets are $15 general admission and $13 for members. Student tickets are $10. For more information about Dove Creek, visit www.facebook.com/dovecreek.music.
On Saturday, Oct. 6, the Mainstage welcomes Williams Road Band and Company starring Denny McCormick, Mason McDowall and special guests Nina’s Brew. Norwich native Denny McCormick is coming back to Central New York from Bluebird Café in Nashville to join in the evening’s festivities. In addition, hailing from diverse musical talent backgrounds, special guests Nina’s Brew is a melting pot of inf luence, genre and talent. Their sound is rooted in blues and soul music and also reflects the likes of R&B and rock.
All proceeds from the evening benefit the programs and services of the Earlville Opera House. Tickets are $15 each and
include entrance into a 4 p.m. meet and greet reception with light refreshments to mingle with the musicians. Commemorative t-shirts and posters, along with musician CDs, will be available for pur- chase.
