Ancient Egypt kids workshop
CAZENOVIA, N.Y. >> The Cazenovia Public Library invites young Egyptologists, from ages 8 to 14, to travel back in time to learn about the lives and after-lives of the Ancient Egyptians.
Children’s ProgramCoordinator JennaWrightMartin andMuseumEducators Pat Hill and Julia Shotzberger will present the program “Exploring Ancient Egypt” onMonday, Oct. 8 at 1:30 pm in the Community Room.
The programwill begin with a fascinating video introduction toAncient Egyptian civilization and culture. Participantswill then tour the Library’s EgyptianRoomto learn about the life and death ofCazenovia’s ownmummy, Hen.
The programwill conclude with a fun, hands-onworkshop featuring six activity stations. Through these interactive experiences, childrenwill learn towrite their names in hieroglyphics, create Egyptian-style art, design and decorate burialmasks, mummify an apple, andmore. Registration is requested. Call or stop by the Library to reserve a spot.
