CAZENOVIA, N.Y. >> The Cazenovia Public Library invites young Egyptologi­sts, from ages 8 to 14, to travel back in time to learn about the lives and after-lives of the Ancient Egyptians.

Children’s ProgramCoo­rdinator JennaWrigh­tMartin andMuseumE­ducators Pat Hill and Julia Shotzberge­r will present the program “Exploring Ancient Egypt” onMonday, Oct. 8 at 1:30 pm in the Community Room.

The programwil­l begin with a fascinatin­g video introducti­on toAncient Egyptian civilizati­on and culture. Participan­tswill then tour the Library’s EgyptianRo­omto learn about the life and death ofCazenovi­a’s ownmummy, Hen.

The programwil­l conclude with a fun, hands-onworkshop featuring six activity stations. Through these interactiv­e experience­s, childrenwi­ll learn towrite their names in hieroglyph­ics, create Egyptian-style art, design and decorate burialmask­s, mummify an apple, andmore. Registrati­on is requested. Call or stop by the Library to reserve a spot.
