SYRACUSE Raise a Glass auction raises $71,000 for VNA Foundation
More than 300 friends of the VNA Foundation of Central New York gathered at the Owera Vineyards in Cazenovia on Sunday, Sept. 16, for the Foundation’s annual fall fundraiser, Raise a Glass.
Guests enjoyed a silent auction, gift basket and 50/50 raffles, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments catered by Owera’s Brick Oven Café, wine, hard cider and beer tastings from local cideries and breweries, and a brief presentation introducing special guest CaidenceMor- rison, a 7-year-old pediatric patient who recently won her battle with stage 3 kidney cancer.
The event raised more than $71,700 in support of the Foundation’s mission to support and promote the provision of pediatric home health care services in the Central New York region. Major sponsors included: Key Bank; Medline Industries, Inc.; and Siemens Industry, Inc.
“This event was a wonderful celebration of our mission and of the count- less lives touched by our services,” said President and CEO Kate Rolf. “We are so appreciative of the outstanding support shown by our sponsors and guests, and we couldn’t have asked for a better champion than little Caidence, whose story is an inspiration to us all.”
