State Police arrest 3 in meth bust
BRIDGEPORT, N.Y. >> Three people have been charged after police raided a suspected meth lab in Bridgeport Friday.
State Police searched 515 Shackelton Point Road, Bridgeport, on Oct. 12, following a methamphetamine investigation. While inside the residence, investigators say they found approximately 5 ounces of liquid methamphetamine, a
gas generator, and several items used in the manufacturing of meth. In addition, approximately 1 gram of meth was located on an individual, later identified as James Entwistle.
Laurie A. Colin, 53, James L. Entwistle, 34, and Jason M. Walters, 32, from 515 Shackelton Point Road, Bridgeport, were all arrested for one count of second- degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A felony; and one count of third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, a class D felony. Entwistle was also charged with one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.
All three defendants were arraigned in the town of Sullivan court and held at Madison County Correctional facility without bail.
Members from the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team (SORT), Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team(CCSERT), Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) Central, and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office assisted with this investigation.
