Brindisi a proven leader

-

I have had the honor and pleasure of getting to know Anthony Brindisi on a number of levels beginning when he was a board of education member and continuing as an elected official. It is safe to say that I have never met an elected representative that has worked so hard for others and so little for himself or his party. He is truly a champion of the working woman, man, and family. He does what’s right for people, not party or patrons.

In the field of education, Mr. Brindisi led a bipartisan effort to establish The 21st Century Education Initiative resulting in a new Career and Technical Diploma that focuses on providing students with the skills needed to fill new manufacturing and high tech jobs. He has also been a champion in the fight for fair funding for our upstate schools and stood firm on maintaining local control within our school districts.

Anthony Brindisi has supported tax cuts for small businesses and working families and has refused to accept money from corporate PACs. He has stood up to special interests to work in our interest. He supports the public good, not the privileged few. That’s why Mr. Brindisi fights to negotiate drug prices that will make our prescriptions more affordable and lower our health care costs. That’s why he opposes rate hikes from Charter Communication, parent company of Spectrum Cable, at a time when is not providing customers the service it promised.

Anthony Brindisi is not beholden to mega donors. The thousands and thousands of

grassroots supporters of Brindisi for Congress have contributed an average of $65 per person. That’s why he supports Main Street over Wall Street. And that’s why I support him.

On Nov. 6, let’s elect a proven leader and a person for the people. Vote for Anthony Brindisi for Congress.
