Tenney must go

All the great spiritual traditions have insisted that what holds us back from enlightenment is selfishness and egotism.

Donald Trump is guilty of both.

Under his leadership, America has become a divisive country with hate groups daring to come out of the shadows. He is cozy with despots who will resort to murder and violence. Our wonderful American values are being disregarded and we are losing the respect and maybe support of our former allies.

We are learning about Trump and his families’ history of tax fraud and money laundering. The tax cuts that he constantly boasts about were probably designed to profit Trump and others like him more than the middle and lower classes. The huge deficit that has resulted from the tax cuts will have to be dealt with, hopefully not through a loss of entitlements.

His avid supporter, Claudia Tenney, in an ad and on a flyer, claimed that all her parents had to rely on was Social Security and Medicare. Since her father was a 30 year-plus Supreme Court judge who had to have monumental pension and health care resources, that was probably untrue.

The ad was removed but demonstrated the length that Tenney and Trump would go to to mislead. Tenney needs to be voted out of office.
