Christmas Celebration in the village
The event will include the annual holiday parade and tree lighting ceremony, along with a visit from Santa.
EARLVILLE, N.Y. >> The annual village of Earlville’s Christmas Celebration on Dec. 8 will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Huff Brau with breakfast with Santa, and continue into the evening with the annual parade and tree lighting ceremony, followed by the Earlville Free Library’s Open House.
The event is free, but breakfast with Santa does have admission. For more information, call 315691-3300.
Events include the Boy Scouts Christmas tree sale; crafts for kids in the meeting room of the
Earlville Firehouse; Holiday Craft Show and Earlville Ladies Auxiliary Poinsettia sale at the Firehouse; Deli Licious Food Truck parked next to the park; Earlville Opera House Holiday Open House from 1-3 p.m. with the 21st Holiday Gift Shop, kids crafts with cookies and cocoa, and a 1 p.m. theater stage reading of “It’s a Wonderful Life” by the Sherburne Music Theater Society; horse drawn wagon rides starting at the park; Fruit Cake Curling Contest at the Earlville Free Library; chicken BBQ dinner at the Firehouse; Story Time with Jingles the Elf at the Library; and a parade and tree lighting ceremony followed by the annualEarlville Free Library’s OpenHousewith Santa and Mrs. Claus with refreshments.
The Opera House will host the Earlville Events Committee’s free Gingerbread House decorating contest for families on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All houses constructed this day will be displayed in the EOH storefront windows leading up to the Dec. 8 festivities, where the winners will be announced at the tree lighting.
