Canastota

The Canastota VFW Post 600 Auxiliary meets at the post home, 3835 Canal Road, Canastota every third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.

The Canastota American Legion Post No. 140 Membership will meet on the second Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. The Canastota Executive Board will meet on the fourth Thursday of every month at 7 p.m.

Cazenovia

The Cazenovia American Legion Post 88 has flags for sale at the Cazenovia Chamber of Commerce. These are high quality flags made in the USA. They are polyester with hand sewn stars. Prices are $28 for 3x5 foot and $35 for 4x6 foot. They also have cemetery flags for $5 and parade flags for 50 cents available. Requests for additional flags may be made by email to amerleg88@yahoo.com or by contacting the American Legion Post 88.

Chittenang­o

The William H. Cain American Legion and Auxiliary, 707Mohawk St., Chittenang­o will meet at 7:30 p.m. every third Monday of the month.

Durhamvill­e

The Durhamvill­e ANM Veterans Club is always looking for new members.

Located on the corner of Canal Street and John Street in Durhamvill­e, the club was formed in 1946 by returning WorldWar II veterans. The club is an independen­t organizati­on, not affiliated with the American Legion or the VFW. To be eligible for membership, youmust have served in the Armed Forces of the United States in time of war or conflict as recognized by Congress, and have an Honor- able Discharge. You are required to submit a copy of your DD-214.

Dues are $10 per year. For the first year, there is an additional $5 initiation fee. Active Duty members pay no dues. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, and start at 7 p.m. For more informatio­n, call the club at 315363-3810, any afternoon after 3 p.m.

The clubhouse is a modern facility with a full service barroom, kitchen, meeting and activity room, and a shuffleboa­rd table. There is an outdoor pavilion, a covered deck and a horseshoe court, as well as a playground for children and two baseball diamonds.

The Auxiliary and Sons of Veterans groups assist with club functions and sponsor functions throughout the year. The Color Guard participat­es in memorial ceremonies and three parades each year.

Activities and social events include holiday parties, luncheons, pitch tournament­s, shuffleboa­rd tournament­s and horseshoe tournament­s. The facility is open to members for receptions, showers, anniversar­ies, birthdays, wakes, and other functions. A small donation for cleanup is requested.

A favorite up- coming member’s event is the “Anything in a crockpot cook- off.” Entries will be judged and prizes will be awarded. This event is sponsored by the Sons. The club is also getting ready to start a shuffleboa­rd tournament.

Munnsville

Munnsville American Legion Wing Night every Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m.

Thursday night is Karaoke Night beginning at 7 p.m. each week. And Friday night is Ladies Night from 7-10 p.m. with specials. Friday night is also Fish Fry Night from 4-8 p.m.

The Munnsville American Legion meeting for Legion members will be held the secondMond­ay of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the post home.

Sons of the Legion meet on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the post home and the Women’s Auxiliary meets the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

Oneida Legion Post 169 will hold Wing Night on Mondays from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday nights will feature home-cooked dinner specials. Check out the Legion’s Facebook page for all upcoming events. The Sherrill American Legion Auxiliary will meet the second Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the post home.

American Legion Post 1153 will serve wings every Sunday from 3-7 p.m.

Sylvan Beach Auxiliary will meet the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
